Lies about Polygamy – Part I

200px-Agal_(accessory)Islamism is full of horrendous and laughable lies told by imams and laymen alike to justify the inexcusable practice of misogyny and abusive, forced polygyny. These lies are repeated over and over again like a mantra, in the islamic belief that if you weigh a pig often enough it will make it fatter. I will prove here that these justifications from imams, sheiks and laymen are lies, deceit, deception, fables and falsehood.

1. There are more women than men in the world. Polygyny will save millions of women from becoming childless spinsters.

This is a blatant lie and total humbug.

According to UN studies and the CIA factbook, as well as every other scientificly performed census, Qatar has the highest male ratio, with 2.87 males/female. For the group aged below 15, Sierra Leone has the highest female ratio with 0.96 males/female, and the Republic of Georgia and the People’s Republic of China are tied for the highest male ratio with 1.13 males/female.

The value for the entire world population is 1.01 males/female, with 1.07 at birth, 1.06 for those under 15, 1.02 for those between 15 and 64, and 0.78 for those over 65.

The “First World” G7 members all have a gender ratio in the range of 0.95–0.98 for the total population, of 1.05–1.07 at birth, of 1.05–1.06 for the group below 15, of 1.00–1.04 for the group aged 15–64, and of 0.70–0.75 for those over 65.

Countries on the Arabian peninsula tend to have a ‘natural’ ratio of about 1.05 at birth but a very high ratio of males for those over 65 (Saudi Arabia 1.13, Arab Emirates 2.73, Qatar 2.84), indicating either an above-average mortality rate for females or a below-average mortality for males, or, more likely in this case, a large population of aging male guest workers. Conversely, countries of Eastern Europe (the Baltic statesBelarusUkraine,Russia) tend to have a ‘normal’ ratio at birth but a very low ratio of males among those over 65 (Russia 0.46, Latvia 0.48, Ukraine 0.52); similarly,Armenia has a far above average male ratio at birth (1.17), and a below-average male ratio above 65 (0.67). This effect may be caused by emigration and higher male mortality as result of higher Soviet era deaths; it may also be related to the enormous (by western standards) rate of alcoholism in the former Soviet states. Another possible contributory factor is an aging population, with a higher than normal proportion of relatively elderly people: we recall that due to higher differential mortality rates the ratio of males to females reduces for each year of age.

Conclusion: The muslims who claim that there is an enormous female surplus are liars, imbecills or both.

World demography clearly proves that there might be demographic arguemnts for polyandry, while polygyny from this perspective is clearly inexcusable.

The only case obviously where polygyny might be justifiable is if young muslim men marry several wives aged 65 or above.

Polyandry should also be practiced to prevent human overpopulation, while polygyny adds to this disastrous threat.

  1. The Prophet Muhammad [PBUH] married his first wife Khadijajh in a purely monogamous marriage when he was a 25 year old virgin and she was 40 and twice widowed with three children from her previous marriages even though most people in his area and time practised polygyny [maybe due to the frequency of wars there was a large surplus of widows back then].

Now how many men are keen to have a monogamous marriage like that? Yet they shamelessly brag on their right to practise polygamy.

Even when the Prophet practised polygamy most of his wives apart from Aishah were widows and many of them [eg; Sawda] were older than him and even in their 60s.

Yeah our scholars do tend to do some really shameless propaganda about their thoughts on world gender ratios.

When I showed these statistics to one guy on that misogynist Ummah Forum [he is the moderator there] his brutal reply was ”the statistics mean nothing. There are still tons of single women around. They are just sitting there!’.He then proceeded on to inform me of his plans to send female scouts to mosques to ask Muslim women about what they thought of their husbands. If the women would express their love and a positive range of emotions for the man, he said that he would then approach their husbands with an offer to marry another woman with ‘suppport’ [ironic since in Shariah the man alone is responsible for the expenses of all his wives and kids] for his other marriage [Yuckk!!].

I then showed him opinion polls of widows from certain conflict-ridden regions of the world which indicated that most widows were not interested in remarriage with a single man let alone a married man, but again he casts my words and proofs out his other ear. Stupid misogynist!
